An Evening at Commencment Bay

It was such a beautiful day so we decided to go down to Commencement Bay this evening. We took sandwiches and Callie got to play with the rocks. There are two different beach areas, one that is sandy and one that is rocky. There was no question over which one to go to-the rocky one. Callie loves picking up and feeling rocks. She had a blast, and didn't even cry when she dropped a rock on her head.
Just starting to discover all the rocks.

Throwing rocks is so much fun!

That smile says it all!

Apparently, you can throw rocks really well when you lean sideways like this. The next picture is from right after this, and she is proud of herself.

She is working on learning that if you don't want to hold Mom or Dad's hand (which is 90% of the time) then you have to walk with us. It is not okay to take off in another direction. This lesson resulted in a few puddle melts onto the boardwalk when we told her "No" and grabbed her hand. And then 30 seconds later she would be walking holding both our hands and let us know she wanted to go "weee," otherwise known as us swinging her.
